Week 1: Full overview of throwing a cylinder. Concentrate on wedging, clay consistency, attaching a bat to wheel head, centering the clay.
Week 2: Throwing a cylinder and trimming. Revisit wedging, clay consistency, bat attaching and centering the clay. Concentrate on wall thickness consistency, sufficient floor thickness, pulling up the clay. Re-centering the pot for trimming. Trimming the base.
Week 3: Throwing a bowl. Revisit wedging, clay consistency, bat attaching, centering the clay, pulling the walls, re-centering the pot for trimming, trimming the base. Concentrate on adjustment required to make a bowl (opening out the walls, leaving strength in the bottom of the wall.
Week 4: Trimming Bowls and creation of trimmed footing. Practice of all previously covered.
Week 5: Glazing and decoration of bisqued pots. (trimming previously made work)
