Week 1: Full overview of clay in handbuilding. Concentrate on wedging, clay consistency (wet, leatherhard, greenware, shrinkage), rolling coils, rolling slabs joining clay, slump moulds, hump moulds, pinch potting, impressions in clay. Decorated platter/plate made.
Week 2: Mug making. – slab method.
Week 3: Bowl making – coil method.
Week 4: Box Making – carved, coiled or slab
Week 5: Glazing and decoration of bisqued pots. (trimming previously made work)
(Items made one week, will be trimmed and completed the following week in preparation for bisque firing prior to week 5.)
